Harvey E. Hyman
Harvey E. Hyman, born February 28, 1917, grew up in Paulding, Ohio. He graduated from Paulding High School, where he excelled in sports, in 1935. He attended Ohio University on a football scholarship and completed his undergraduate work there. Harv attended law school at Ohio Northern University where he also played football and graduated in 1940. During both World War II and the Korean War, Harv served in the U.S. Army. He was a Captain in the U.S. Army Reserve. Harvey held numerous elected positions in Paulding County including serving as Paulding County Prosecutor, Common Pleas Court Judge (Regular Division), and as Paulding County Probate and Juvenile Court Judge during which time he developed a unique and effective Juvenile Diversion program in conjunction with the 4H organization. This program was much emulated around the country. He married Juanita Marjorie Jacobs in 1939 and the couple had four children.
David A. Hyman
David A. Hyman, a son of Harv and Marge, was born on February 2, 1954 and grew up in Paulding, Ohio. He graduated from Paulding High School in 1972 and attended Ohio Northern University for both his undergraduate and law school educations. Upon graduation and admission to the Ohio Bar in 1978, Dave joined his father’s law firm, Hyman, McMaster, Cook, and Webb, in Paulding and also served as Assistant Paulding County Prosecutor. Over the ensuing years, he served as Solicitor for numerous Paulding County Villages and is a former Chairman of the Northwest Ohio Bar Association Grievance Committee, serving for as a member for several decades. David married Jacqueline Sue Meeks in 1978. Dave and Jackie have five children. Jackie has been the Probate Secretary at Hyman and Hyman, Ltd. for many years.
Harvey D. Hyman
Harvey D. Hyman was born and raised in Paulding, Ohio. He was admitted to the Ohio Bar in 2010 after graduating from Hillsdale College in 2007 and earning his Juris Doctor from the University of Toledo School of Law in 2009. He went on to earn an MBA from Defiance College in 2016. He joined Hyman and Hyman in 2010, and is a member and past president of the Paulding County Bar Association. Harvey also serves on the Northwest Ohio Bar Association Grievance Committee and has represented the Third District of Ohio in the Ohio State Bar Association Counsel of Delegates. Harvey is the Village Solicitor for the Villages of Haviland, Latty, Melrose, Paulding, Payne, and Sherwood, Ohio. He has served as the Vice-President of the Paulding Chamber of Commerce and as President of United Way of Paulding County. He has also taught law classes as an adjunct instructor for law and paralegal classes at both Defiance College and Northwest State Community College. His primary areas of practice are Estate Planning, Probate, Real Estate, Civil Litigation, Bankruptcy, and Criminal Defense. Harvey resides in Paulding with his wife, Caci and their four children.
